PBJ Studio Access Days – FAQ

Who are these sessions best for?

PBJ Studio Access Days are ideal for families, children, and anyone who wants timeless portraits in a streamlined format. These sessions are designed to be fast, fun, and beautifully simple.

Can I bring a newborn or extended family?

To ensure sessions run smoothly for everyone and Jeane's best quality is offered for newborns: No infants under 3 months unless part of a family portrait (not solo)

No extended families — immediate household only

Larger immediate families may receive fewer individual poses or groupings based on cooperation and time constraints

 

If you’d like a slower-paced experience with more flexibility, please book a full session on a standard day.

 

Can I change outfits?

Yes — one outfit change is welcome as time and cooperation allow. However, sessions are quick, and no additional time will be added for extra requests. For more customization, please consider a full-length session.

 

Can I book two PBJ sessions back-to-back?

No — PBJ Studio Access Days are limited to one session per household, per event. If you’re looking for a more in-depth portrait experience, a full session is the best choice.

 

Do I earn anything toward a future full session? If you are a member, Yes! Every time you participate in a PBJ Studio Access Day, you'll earn a $25 credit toward a full session on a standard (non-PBJ) date. Credits cannot be used on mini sessions or special events. Credits have no cash value and expire 24 months after being earned.

 

What is the payment and cancellation policy?

A non-refundable retainer of $15 per person or the purchase of the membership is due within 48 hours of booking to reserve your session.  If payment is not received, your time slot will be released and a cancellation notice will be sent. A separate invoice will be issued after the photographer confirms session details.

 

Cancellations:

If canceled more than 72 hours before your appointment: You may request a refund of your retainer or transfer it to the next PBJ event.

If canceled within 72 hours: Your session retainer is forfeited. Members will be charged a $15 cancellation fee if canceling within 72 hours.

 

What’s the difference between member and non-member pricing?

Members receive:

No session fee for household sessions all year

20% off all premium professional prints & products

$50 off full digital album

 

Non-members pay a $15 per person session retainer and standard print/digital pricing.

What are shipping policies

Free shipping to the studio for pickup is only available at the time of the session.  You may reorder premium printing for up to 90 days after your session, but a shipping charge will apply and prints will come to your home in professional packaging.  Rush shipping is available for an additional charge.  Shipping costs vary based on products printed.

Make the most of your session with these quick tips.

 

Plan Your Look

Choose coordinated colors, comfortable fabrics, and avoid large logos or busy patterns. One outfit change is allowed if time permits, but keep it simple.

 

Be On Time

Sessions are fast-paced and scheduled closely. Late arrivals may lose session time, and additional time cannot be added.

 

Prep the Kids (and Adults!)

Talk to little ones ahead of time so they know what to expect. Bring snacks, wipes, or small toys if needed to help keep spirits high.  It will add a personalized touch if you bring something that is special that we could use within the session as well.

 

Keep Expectations Realistic We’ll capture natural, beautiful portraits — but these are quick sessions. If you're looking for extra poses, outfit changes, or a more relaxed pace, a full session is the better fit.

 

Decide Who's Coming

PBJ sessions are for immediate family only. If you want to include grandparents, cousins, or friends, please book a standard session instead.  Even if you are planning just the kids, parents or a parent should match incase needed to assist with warming up.

Retainer & Cancellation Policy

A non-refundable retainer ($15 per person or $50 for household membership) is required within 48 hours of booking to reserve your session time. This retainer secures your time slot and is applied toward your session. If payment is not received within this window, the session time will be forfeited and made available to others. Cancellations made more than 72 hours in advance are eligible for a retainer transfer to the next available PBJ event or a refund. Cancellations within 72 hours of your scheduled session will forfeit the session retainer. PBJ Members canceling within 72 hours will be charged a $15 cancellation fee. Retainers are not transferable to mini sessions, events, or full-length sessions. Each retainer is tied to the specific PBJ event date booked.
